2002 – NEA Applauds TSRI

"The National Endowment for the Arts' Applauds A Smooth Upgrade"

Kirkland, WA. (June 18, 2002) – In an article published on May 6, 2002 in Government Computer News (https://gcn.com/21_10/news/18601-1.html), The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) applauded the system modernization efforts of The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI).

Mike Burke, NEA's Chief Information Officer (CIO) praised TSRI for modernizing NEA's 650,000 line-of-code legacy Wang COBOL system, that included transforming 350 database tables from flat files to a relational database and creating more than 800 user screens for 140 users, in just seven months. As Burke said, 'It worked out of the box. We had to do very little tweaking'.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President of Sales & Marketing said, 'Recognition of TSRI's efforts by Mr. Burke and Government Computer News is not only gratifying, but has provided a wide audience of legacy systems owners with the understanding that a highly automated, low-cost and low-risk approach to system modernization is both available and proven. Legacy system owners today expect the modernization process to take years to accomplish and cost enormous amounts of money. TSRI however, can now accomplish that same modernization process in a fraction of time needed using other methods and at a Firm Fixed Price.'
