Once parsed into TSRI’s JANUS Studio®, a customer’s code can be assessed and code-level documentation produced, typically in a matter of days or weeks. TSRI offers two types of documentation:
Application Blueprint® This blueprint consists of a detailed presentation of the structure and flow of the legacy code to support future code maintenance, system restructuring and/or enhancement. It includes Code and Design Metrics, Navigation Indices, Control Flow Diagrams, Structure Charts, Data Element Tables, State Machine Models, State Transition Tables, Cause Effect Graphs and hyper-linked source code in HTML format accessible via web server.
Transformation Blueprint® This blueprint consists of a detailed presentation of the structure and flow of the modernized code with linked legacy code side-by-side views to support future code maintenance, system restructuring and/or enhancement. It includes Code and Design Metrics, Navigation Indices, Control Flow Diagrams, Structure Charts, Data Element Tables, State Machine Models, State Transition Tables, Cause Effect Graphs and side-by-side views of hyper-linked source and target code in HTML format accessible via web server.
The vast majority of TSRI’s customers have used these blueprints, produced using our automated engine, as a force multiplier for their support and development staff both before, during, and after projects. This documentation also allows existing application specialists to continue maintaining and enhancing your irreplaceable applications, even after they have been transformed to a new architecture. This documentation can be easily refreshed and updated, and is accessible via HTML for your staff.
