2005 - Thales - ATM - Modernization

"Thales-ATM Selects TSRI to Support European Air Traffic Control System Modernization"

Kirkland, WA. (June 1, 2005) – Thales-ATM based in Paris, France has awarded a contract to The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) for demonstration of an automated approach to the transformation and documentation of the legacy Ada application language in a module of the European Air Traffic Management System into C++ and Java.

Upon completion of this demonstration task, Thales-ATM will evaluate and select which new target language best suits their needs for modernization of the entire system.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President, Sales & Marketing said, "TSRI is pleased to be working with Thales-ATM on this important project for the European community. Having successfully transformed Ada many times for U.S.-based firms, TSRI is confident that this demonstration project will eventually lead to TSRI's transformation of the remaining legacy Ada code associated with the larger European Air Traffic Management System. At the same time, this project affords TSRI the opportunity to show that our ever growing business base now includes the international marketplace."

2005 - ITT - USAF System Modernization

"ITT Expands TSRI's Air Force System Modernization Support Contract"

Kirkland, WA. (February 14, 2005) – ITT Industries has significantly expanded their existing contract with The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) to support modernization of a vital Air Force system.

Under the existing contract, TSRI initiated the JANUS Studio®    toolset "Set-Up" processes needed to transform the existing system's legacy Ada code into fully object-oriented Java and C++; re-factor the transformed code to improve its' architecture, performance and maintainability; and document the resultant modernized system. The expansion of the contract allows TSRI to begin to move forward on those tasks given the success of the Set-Up phase of the project.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President, Sales & Marketing said, "TSRI is pleased to continue to march down the system modernization path with ITT Industries. The important Air Force project our team is addressing will now benefit from the "next step" in TSRI's capabilities offering - Transformation - which will ensure the system's legacy Ada code is automatically migrated into modern, platform-independent Java and C++."

JANUS Studio®

JANUS Studio®       is the most advanced tool framework for software assessment, documentation, transformation, re-factoring and web-enablement anywhere.

Using JANUS Studio®       TSRI offers many services, but the four most unique are our ability to: (1) automatically transform, not just transliterate, a software application written in either a 3GL or 4GL legacy language into modern, platform-independent and true object-oriented target languages; (2) re-factor the transformed code to improve that code's structure, performance and maintainability; (3) generate full UML documentation for both the "As Is" as well as "To Be" systems; and (4) transform monolithic legacy systems into a multi-tiered web-based applications.
