2004 - Northrop Grumman IT - REMIS

"Northrop Grumman IT Selects TSRI To Support Continuation of REMIS Modernization"

Kirkland, WA. (April 27, 2004) – Northrop Grumman IT (NGIT) has awarded a contract to The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) for a pilot project in advance of the next major phase of the Air Force's Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS) modernization process. The pilot project will demonstrate TSRI's capability to automatically transform Tandem COBOL to Java.

REMIS, a 3.1 million-line Tandem COBOL-based system, was built to enhance the front-end design of new Air Force weapon systems and to increase the readiness and sustainability of existing weapon systems by improving the availability, accuracy and flow of essential maintenance information.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President, Sales & Marketing said, "NGIT and TSRI previously worked closely together to successfully modernize the first increment of REMIS. TSRI again looks forward to supporting NGIT in finishing the transformation and web-enablement of this important Air Force system."

2004 - SAIC - Navy System Modernization

"SAIC Selects TSRI to Support Navy System Modernization"

Kirkland, WA. (January 15, 2004) – Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has awarded The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) a sole source contract, under the auspices of the Space and Naval Warfare System Command (SPAWARSYSCOM), to modernize the Navy's Network Warfare Command's (NETWARCOM's) Engineering Operational Sequencing System (EOSS).

TSRI will port the functionality represented by the existing VAX hosted EOSS accountability system to a new N-tiered web-enabled application. EOSS will be modernized into J2EE, using Microsoft IIS running on an Intel-based server as the front-end and J2EE/Oracle running on a Sun SparcServer as the back-end.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President of Sales & Marketing said, "The EOSS modernization project affords TSRI the opportunity to exercise all its capabilities for the Navy - assessment of the legacy system; transformation of the applications code and database into a modern computing environment; re-factoring (re-engineering) of the code and database to improve system maintainability; and web-enablement of the new system to create a system that is Navy Marine Corp Intranet compliant. At the same time, TSRI and SAIC have the opportunity to join forces and show the Navy and others what can be accomplished by our two companies working in tandem."

2005 - Raytheon Subcontractor Award

"TSRI Wins Prestigious Raytheon Subcontractor Award"

Kirkland, WA. (February 1, 2005) – The Raytheon Company presented The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) with its "Supplier of Value" award in a ceremony in Boston, MA on January 31. This honor, awarded by Raytheon for only the second time, was given to TSRI for its "outstanding performance and support" to a vital Raytheon Network Centric Systems Program. The award specifically praised TSRI for its successful transformation and re-factoring of legacy Ada and FORTRAN code into C++ in support of a Raytheon satellite communications system modernization effort.

Raytheon has also submitted TSRI's name and accomplishments to the U.S. Small Business Administration for consideration as the "Small Business of the Year" for the federal government.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President, Sales & Marketing said, "TSRI was honored to receive such a prestigious award and the 'Small Business of the Year' nomination from a firm of Raytheon's stature and reputation. Such awards clearly substantiate the applicability of TSRI's automated technology to the successful modernization of legacy computing systems. TSRI sincerely thanks Raytheon for their recognition and looks forward to continuing this highly successful relationship."

2004 - National Endowment for the Arts

"National Endowment for the Arts Selects TSRI for Enhancements"

Kirkland, WA. (January 1, 2004) – The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has awarded The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) the third in a series of sole source contracts to bring the organization's business systems into the 21st Century.

NEA first contracted with TSRI to transform its legacy 656,000-line Wang-COBOL, flat-file database system into modern, platform-independent C++ using Microsoft SQL Server. After the success of that four-month effort, NEA again contracted with TSRI to re-factor (re-engineer) the modernized system to improve system performance and maintainability. The latest NEA contract requires that TSRI execute a series of system enhancements to ensure that NEA's business practices meet Congressional reporting mandates.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President of Sales & Marketing said, "It is truly gratifying that NEA continues to employ the technical services of TSRI. While performing system enhancements after a system has been modernized by TSRI typically is the job of a system integrator, in the case of NEA, TSRI has been the integrator all along. So again, we have the opportunity to show the depth of talent in TSRI to meet the needs of our customers, whatever those needs may be."
