2002 - NEA Selects TSRI For Re-Factoring

"The National Endowment of the Arts Selects The Software Revolution, Inc. for Re-Factoring"

Kirkland, WA. (January 31, 2002) – The National Endowment of the Arts (NEA), under the auspices of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), today selected The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) to take the next important step in the modernization process of their information management systems. The Software Revolution, Inc., having recently transformed the NEA systems from a Wang COBOL-based environment to a modern C++ environment, will now restructure and optimize the systems' design through the application of the company's automated re-factoring services.

The Software Revolution, Inc. provides services for modernizing legacy software systems using highly automated tools. The modernization process uses these tools to assess the legacy system, transform it to modern languages and databases, re-factor the new code to make it more efficient, and provide the necessary instructions and interfaces to the web.

Major Opportunity

"The selection of The Software Revolution, Inc. is a further expression by the Government of its confidence in the use of The Software Revolution, Inc.'s automated services to modernize legacy systems. By using the services of The Software Revolution, Inc. NEA will reap the operational and maintenance efficiencies of a restructured system, while GSA simultaneously demonstrates the power of The Software Revolution, Inc.'s toolset to address the optimization of all Government legacy systems once they have been transformed" said Greg Tadlock, The Software Revolution, Inc.'s Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
