2002 - REMIS Successfully Transformed

"REMIS Legacy Code Successfully Transformed"

Kirkland, WA. (September 17, 2002)In concert with Northrop Grumman IT, the Prime Contractor for the sustainment and modernization of the Air Force's Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS). The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) has successfully transformed the system's legacy Cobol code to modern, platform-independent C++.

REMIS, a 3.1 million line COBOL-based system, was built to enhance the front-end design of new Air Force weapon systems and to increase the readiness and sustainability of existing weapon systems by improving the availability, accuracy and flow of essential maintenance information.

Greg Tadlock, Vice President, Sales & Marketing said, "The successful transformation of the REMIS Modernization Project's Increment 1 code is a major step forward for both NGIT and TSRI. Our success thus far has show NGIT to be a forward thinking company in developing the optimum approach to legacy system modernization. At the same time, that transformation success has once again show the automated TSRI toolset and methodology to be invaluable in reducing a legacy system modernization project's cost, risk and schedule. We look forward to completing the remainder of the REMIS tasking."
